A Historical Location

Edgehousegroveland1

This building is a part of Integrity’s history and a great time of growth for the staff and students of I.C.A.

Built in 1902, the Edge House is one of the oldest homes in south Lake County and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

With its first- and second-floor verandas, dramatic 10-foot high ceilings, pine floors and steeply pitched roof, the Queen Anne-style home is considered an architectural landmark in this city.

It was built by one of Groveland’s pioneer founders, Elliott Erastus “E.E.” Edge, who started Edge Lumber Co. and ran several businesses that included turpentine, farming, citrus and a department store in the early 20th century.

This beautiful home is where Integrity Christian Academy resided for a period of time. The historical significance offers a unique setting for students to learn.
